BATTLE TACTIC #8: SINGLE ATTRIBUTE BAKUGAN… MEGA POWER – AUGUST 2010

BATTLE TACTIC #8: SINGLE ATTRIBUTE BAKUGAN… MEGA POWER – AUGUST 2010

Single Attribute Bakugan… Mega Power

Don’t overlook powerful abilities that only apply to one of your Bakugan or Bakugan Battle Gear in your team.

The blue Ability Card, Enchanted Silver, boosts your Bakugan’s G-Power based on its attribute during a battle where you have a Silver Battle Gear in play. In this case, the Ability Card gives Darkus Bakugan a massive +150 G-Power boost. For a battle example, you can call a Darkus Plitheon to stand and then throw down a Silver Vilantor Gear to give Plitheon its first G-Power boost. Then, devastate your opponent by using Enchanted Silver and add even more Gs to Darkus Plitheon!

BATTLE TACTIC #7: POWER UP WITH DUAL ATTRIBUTES – JULY 2010

from bakugan.com

BATTLE TACTIC #7: POWER UP WITH DUAL ATTRIBUTES – JULY 2010

POWER UP WITH DUAL ATTRIBUTES

Battle Gear works great when you focus your force around two different attributes.

To get started making a dual-attribute force, take your Battle Gear and look at their reference cards. Each reference card has two special abilities, for two different attributes. Let’s look at the Battle Gear reference card, Battle Crusher.

It has the Haos ability: You get +50 G-Power for each Gate card in your enemy’s used pile if your enemy has more Gate cards in their used pile than you do.

And, it has the Darkus ability: If your opponent has a Gear or Trap at the battle, you get +50 G-Power.

Let’s say you want to build a force around the Battle Crusher Battle Gear card.

Start with your three best G-Powered Bakugan with those attributes. Make sure you have at least one Haos and at least one Darkus. Then, look for Ability cards that benefit both Haos and Darkus, so you’ll be able to use them no matter which of your Bakugan you roll.

I hope you’ll use this month’s tips during your next brawl in order to maximize your arsenal on the battle field.

Battle Tactic #6: Deploying Your Battle Gear – June 2010

From Bakugan.com

BATTLE TACTIC #6: BATTLE GEAR – JUNE 2010

Now that you’ve selected your Battle Gear, it’s time to use them in battle. Using your Battle Gear is an important strategy to winning the game. During your brawls, you will want to maximize the full potential of your Battle Gear by considering your arsenal and your timing.

DEPLOYING YOUR BATTLE GEAR

First things first, you should try to only deploy your Battle Gear on Bakugan that have matching attributes. It’s obviously not the best to add Battle Gear that have Special Abilities for Pyrus and Darkus to a Haos Bakugan.

Keep in mind that if you deploy Battle Gear on a Gate card whose color matches the Battle Gear’s icon — Copper, Silver, or Gold — you get to choose which Special Ability to use. Being able to use a specific Battle Gear Special Ability can spell the difference between crushing your opponent and losing the Gate Card!

Always keep in mind that your Bakugan gets the Battle Gear’s G-Power bonus whether or not its attribute matches the Battle Gear’s Special Abilities on the Reference Card. It might be a good play to deploy your Battle Gear for its G-Power alone.

Alternately, you can deploy a Trap and a Battle Gear in the same battle. This can let you use a Battle Gear’s Special Ability even if your Bakugan doesn’t match either of its Special Ability attributes! Using a Trap and a Battle Gear in the same battle uses up a lot of your resources all at once though, so be careful. Of course, if you can win your third Gate Card by deploying a Trap and Battle Gear at once, go for it! Remember, if you win the third and final battle you win the game.

While you’re battling, also note that you get to bring Battle Gear back from your Used pile to your Unused pile at the same time as your Bakugan. This can really affect when you choose to play your Battle Gear.

For more information on how to use Battle Gear, visit the Bakugan Gameplay FAQ here.

I hope you’ll use this month’s tips during your next brawl in order to maximize your arsenal on the battle field.

Battle Gear 101: Maximize Your Arsenal – Changes!

There are some slight changes to the ‘Battle Gear 101: Maximize Your Arsenal’ . I am posting this on the 2nd, so you don’t think it’s an April Fool Joke:

Q: Can I use Battle Gear with Bakugan from any series and type?
A: Yes! Battle Gear can be used in gameplay with any Bakugan from series 1, series 2 (New Vestroia), and series 3 (Gundalian Invaders). While Bakugan Battle Gear will only physically attach to specific Gundalian Invader Bakugan from Series 3, that doesn’t mean you can’t ( or shouldn’t) use it with a series 1 or series 2 Bakugan. When using a Battle Gear with a Bakugan that does not specifically attach to its back, simply open the Battle Gear on the Gate Card in battle and process it as you normally would, as stated below.

Gold Attribute

Silver Attribute

Copper Attribute

Q: How do I use Battle Gear in battle?
A: Bakugan Battle Gear are played during a battle (from your unused pile). Place your Battle Gear on the back of your Bakugan to open it. It may also be opened on a Gate Card next to your Bakugan. Add the G-Power revealed on the inside of the Battle Gear to your battling Bakugan.

If your Bakugan’s attribute matches either of the attributes listed on your Battle Gear reference card, then you get that ability as well; Or, if your Battle Gear matches the color of the Gate Card being battled on (Gold, Silver, or Copper attribute) you may choose any one ability on the Battle Gear reference card to use in this battle.

Battle Gear move like regular Bakugan. At the end of a battle, they move to your used pile. When you have no Bakugan to roll, all of your Bakugan, Bakugan Trap, and Battle Gear move to your unused pile.

Each player may use a total of 2 Bakugan Trap or Battle Gear (or a mixture equaling 2). So, a brawler may have 2 Bakugan Trap. Or, a brawler may have 2 Battle Gear. And, a brawler may have 1 Bakugan Trap and 1 Battle Gear.

Q: What are the Battle Gear Attributes?
A: Battle Gear come in one of three Attributes: Gold, Silver, or Copper. To determine a Battle Gear’s attribute you will see that each Battle Gear is marked with either Gold, Silver, or Copper highlights. You can also identify the Battle Gear’s attribute by looking at the icon printed on the gear as well. (See below)

Knowledge and education is the most valuable weapon on the battlefield! Now that you are properly equipped with the basics of how to use Battle Gear you can now effectively begin making your own strategies that fuse Bakugan with their new weapons. Keep in mind that these are the barebones of Battle Gear use. For more specific situations and rules information be sure to read the Battle Gear FAQ section in the Bakugan Gameplay FAQ.

Brawl on!
